Interesting Festival Facts

  • The Cohen New Works Festival is named in honor of David Mark Cohen, playwright, critic, and beloved professor at The University of Texas at Austin. Cohen came to the University in 1990 and served as head of the Playwriting Program in the Department of Theatre and Dance. Tragically, on December 23, 1997, Cohen was killed in a car accident. - About the Festival
